We've launched the YOUR TAKE video competition to give you the opportunity to showcase your youth project, the young people that make it such a success, and your achievements. We want YOUR TAKE on it.
. What makes you who you are?
. What are you proud of?
. Why are you different?
. What do you care about?
Show us - on video - in three minutes or less, and you could win a
POCKET VIDEO CAMERA (subject to
terms and conditions).
The inspiration for your video can come from anywhere but here are a few ideas:
- Activities and talents - whether it’s hip hop or skateboarding
- Out and about - focus on an upcoming trip, visit or event
- Local pride - what's so great about where you live?
- Your view - debate the issues that really matter to you and young people in your area
- Diary - a snapshot of your project and its people
The winning videos will show real young people, real locations and real issues from your perspective. We want to see what makes your youth project so special.
Your video can be recorded using a mobile phone, an i-phone or a camcorder - take your pick.
To get you started we've put together three short films showing how easy it is to create your own video. The films are a great way to kick off a discussion about your film: www.youtube.com/group/yourtakecompetition.
The competition will run from Monday 22nd February till 12th March. All entries must be received my this date.
Videos will be judged and the winners announced by 26th March.
Anyone appearing in the videos should be 13-19 years of age. Your video must be your own original work and you must have permission to enter it into the competition from anyone who appears in it (or permission from their parent/guardian if they are under the age of 18). If your video includes any music or other materials which are someone else's property, or if your video is filmed on private property, you must also have their permission to include it. For more details on this and full competition rules, see the terms and conditions.
